Last May, the Likha-iT team took a much-needed break from their screens and set sail to Albay for this year’s summer outing. Held at the scenic Misibis Bay Resort, the weekend turned into more than just a getaway; it was a wonderful opportunity for bonding, exploration, and creating unforgettable memories together.

 

A Laid-back Start

We started our trip with a delicious buffet lunch that set the mood for what was to come: good food and lots of laughter. In the evening, we gathered for Banquet Night, where everyone dressed up, enjoyed a feast, and danced the night away. It turned out to be a fun and laid-back night, giving us all the chance to reconnect and enjoy each other’s company.

 

A Taste of Local Culture

We took part in a pottery-making session at Philippines Ceramics in Tiwi, Albay, which was a wonderful way to try something new and appreciate the local craftsmanship. After that, we stopped by Brgy. Visit Cobo in Tabaco to explore the famous Tabak, a traditional Bicolano blade with deep cultural significance. We ended the day with a lovely dinner at the cozy and traditional Casa Simeon, where we enjoyed delicious food and had great conversations.

 

 

The Full Albay Experience

Our most jam-packed day was also the most unforgettable! We kicked things off at the peaceful Stella Maris Chapel, then made our way to the scenic Cagraray Eco Park. A quick stop at Sula Bridge gave us beautiful views, followed by a visit to the historic Daraga Church, each spot had something special to offer.

Our lunch was a highlight, with a lakeside meal at Sumlang Lake and a postcard-perfect view of Mayon Volcano. After that, we explored the famous Cagsawa Ruins—probably Albay’s most iconic landmark. Then came the ultimate thrill: an ATV ride with Mayon as our backdrop! We sped through the trails, got a little wet and dusty, laughed a lot, and made the best memories. 

 

The trip was a great reminder of how important it is to pause, take a breather, celebrate our wins, and enjoy moments with the people we work with. Huge thanks to everyone who helped make this year’s company outing extra special. Before we knew it, it was time to say goodbye to Albay, leaving with full hearts, stronger bonds, and plenty of stories to bring home.
